The pieces are polished just enough to remove rough edges leaving the interesting cast texture in place. Special finishing on the pewter-toned nickel plating gives each piece subtle iridescent nuances. While all pieces are food safe.

I was hoping to get this item. I had been waiting for it for a while, and without any warning at all, I received notice from the company that it had not been shipped and that the item had been canceled in that at some point I would receive a refund. Not real happy about all that.
