In the end we asked our master carver to do the pieces exactly as prescribed for the original 19th C. tournaments. Which of course is the Staunton set, defined by their majestic King and Queen and spirited Knights!

I was hoping to get this item. I had been waiting for it for a while, and without any warning at all, I received notice from the company that it had not been shipped and that the item had been canceled in that at some point I would receive a refund. Not real happy about all that.
